Leafield Community Woodland

Leafield Community Woodland is on Fairspear Road in Leafield, Oxfordshire - grid reference SP313155

In September, 23 adults and 11 children joined the 2011 Bat Night in the Community Woodland, using a bat detector to identify visiting pipistrelle bats. Everyone had an enjoyable evening, learning about these fascinating animals.

We meet at the Community Woodland, on the second Sunday of every month, from 11am-1pm for regular woodland maintenance. Helpers are very welcome, even for a short time. There is a record of our activities each month.
You can find out about future events on Twitter:

There is a notebook in the woodland so visitors can record what they see. Each month we have notes of what you might see, and a record of what was seen in the previous month.
